Valerie is Vanessa's closest friend. The two of them practically consider each other sisters, and she was the first to move in and help Vanessa after Vanessa's parents died. Valerie is often considered a leader in bringing in new fashion designs, and uses her reputation to help keep her friends from being picked on. After Aya is brought in, she is one of the few who has a distrust of her, one that never truly goes away, and as such is hurt when Vanessa casually brushes aside her opinion. After Aya's memories return, and Vanessa becomes a soldier of the Galactic Order, Valerie and the others continue to support Vanessa as she fights. Valerie is killed in Aya's attack on Earth, an event which helps unlock Vanessa's potential through her rage.
