Krhashatha - Evolution 3 (V.2)

"I see it at night, in my dreams. It haunts me, unending. I want it to stop, please make it stop!"

Original Description: When the creature awoke, it almost instantly went into a cocoon state. It stayed in the state for a few hours before emerging in a new form. The scientists looked on, amazed. They had gotten the reports from the spaceship, but they never expected anything like this. The creature was evolving at a rapid rate, it seemed that the organ in its body helped it "devour" the air, and this helped fuel its evolution.

The scientists learned a lot from the alien, tranquilizing it and then removing it with machinery to a secure lab, where they studied for hours before bringing it back. But things began to get worse. On a late night shift, one of the workers noticed the creature sitting in place, as it had done ever since it evolved. He began to berate it, and yell at it, and within the blink of an eye, it had shot its tongue through the glass, and through him.

The creature was promptly moved to a new cell.

Soon everyone in the building began to develop nightmares, horrible nightmares that warped their minds. One scientist came to the conclusion the alien was behind it. Unable to go on like this, they gassed the creature, and removed it. As they moved by the beast it returned to life. The creature got up, and slaughtered all of them.

After killing numerous personnel and soldiers, the creature was hit by an RPG, and the roof collapsed on it. One of the lead scientists moved close to the creature and drew his gun. The alien roared, and its eyes flashed before he shot it and killed it. He began to laugh. But before he knew it, he came back to reality and the creature was holding him, and tore him to pieces. (One of its new abilities is to make people see things they want to see. In this case it made him think he killed it, while in reality it freed itself from the rubble, grabbed a hold of him, and killed him.)

It left the room, and headed to the experimental weapon room where the last survivors were holed up.

Blocked by a large glass wall, with all the survivors on the other side, the creature pounded away to no avail. The glass was incredibly thick. As the humans sighed in relief, the creature spewed acid all over the window, melting straight through it. The humans retreated, and dropped the next window, and the next, and the next. Soon the alien had gotten through them all.

Cornered, one soldier drew his gun and blasted the creature. The alien look to him, its eyes flashed, and it roared. The soldier clutched his head in pain until it erupted in a shower of gore. Luckily, this took long enough for the lead scientist to power up the weapon. As the alien advanced killing everyone else, it grabbed the scientist and held him high above its head. Before it could finish him, the weapon fired, blasting the creature down the hall, and through the side of the facility where it fell to the jungle below.



In this form, the Krhashatha was approximately 16+ feet tall and around 45+ feet in length.

The creature didn't seem to stray too much from its previous evolution in terms of appearance and abilities, but what it did gain was significant. Knowing those around it were considered to be intelligent by human standards, the creature studied them, tested them, rather than breaking out like it could've from the start. Here, the creature also focused more on its mental powers, plaguing the scientists with horrible nightmares and images, and even killing some in their sleep with powerful mental attacks.

While it continued to evolve its mind, it also evolved the ability to spew a powerful stream of acid, capable of reducing a target to nothing within seconds. Once again, the creature's regenerative powers were upped, regenerating wounds within seconds. All this together made the creature an impossible threat once it escaped, capable of manipulating and destroying with ease.
